Jack is very excited about looking out the windows. He especially likes it if there are birds flying by or lights on in the houses that we share views of back lots with.
He also really likes his black and white animals book. Sometimes he likes just putting his fingers through the holes, but sometimes he likes pointing out the animals. Grandma was here on a recent visit and helped him to find his nose, her nose and lots and lots of other noses on the animals in his books.
Jack really likes taking the hangers (and sometimes shoes) out of the bottom of the wardrobe and putting things in the garbage cans around the house. Mostly his toys and books go in the garbage cans. I think he might be following our lead on "straightening up" and figures he needs to do his part. We've had to start being careful before we empty the trash cans, and we have to keep the diaper pail away from him because it has an attached lid that lifts that he loves to open and then put things in the can.
Jack is also fascinated with our keys and spends a lot of time finding holes to put keys in. It is fortunate that we are building managers and have extremely busy lives because it provides Jack with many many keys that he can find holes for. His favorite hole is one in the wall left behind when he pulled the door stopper out. He can literally try keys in it for up to about 1/2 hour.

Jack had a great day. We went outside today he was very happy. He was throwing the sand up and watching it fall. And he also was coloring with crayons and chalk. He really enjoyed both.
(ed. note: at home and it restaurants with Mama and Papa, Jack still eats his crayons)
