Although there was a mountain of gifts for Jack from loved ones near and far, Jack neither seemed interested in tearing open the paper nor playing with new toys. I wondered at one point if with all the commotion he kept going back to his old toys because they were familiar?
The other thing that Jack was very excited about was the cardboard box that a couple of gifts from Gramps came in.
