The first image is from the summer newsletter from daycare, shows the kids in Jack's class. We were lucky that even though Monika (who we really liked) left for a study abroad program, she was replaced by Megan who Jack knew a little already and will also be in Jack's transitional room in the fall.
all other photo creds go to Sean. he has an ability to capture moments that I only dream of.
in the morning:
Jack wakes up and calls "Maaaaaaaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
I go in and say, "hi Jack"
He says "I am waking up now"
I ask him what he wants to do. Sometimes he wants to go sit on the potty. Other times he wants to eat breakfast right away. When he sits on the potty he usually says, "it's not working yet." and then when he pees: "it's working!"
this morning he said, "sometimes it takes a little while"
summer childcare is ending and Jack will start the fall in a new, "transition" room. His friend Anna, sadly, will not be there. Her mom graduated and found a French immersion school for Anna near where they live in East Bay. However, Tycco will still be there and also a new friend Jack made named Will.
they won't have intake forms anymore, so maybe I'll finally get caught up on the stack I have sitting by our (still not hooked up) computer at home. And I swear I'll try to do a better job of keeping up to date on the blog in general.
tomorrow Jack and I are planning to plant some pumpkin seeds in his own little section of the garden. I'm going to separate out a little row from the area that he (hopefully) will have a sandbox. Jack is very excited about the pumpkin seeds but I think he thinks there's jack-o-lanterns inside of the envelope. I hope he's not too disappointed when we open it.

Jack enjoyed taking teacher Debin's temperature and putting her to sleep with friend Anna this afternoon. Jack told teacher Debin her temperature was "40-40-9-6", and let her know how sick she was once he diagnosed me, Jack patted my back and told me to sleep!
